About a month or so ago I was doing my morning skincare routine and realized that it kind of gotten out of hand. I had way too many steps and products I was using on my face and wanted to simply it. Some mornings are not like the others and I may not have the time to do five million skincare steps just to get out the door. Later that day, I happened to watch one of Arnell Armon’s Youtube videos and she mentioned this brand. I was curious and checked out the site, like what I was reading and made a purchase. Even since then, I have been loving my new morning skincare regimen and love that its Black Owned!

Be Transcendent was created by Janeya Anderson who took the dive into exploring the skincare world and set out to create a system that wasn’t complicated and not full of harmful ingredients. I love how this system has only 3 steps (I add a 4th with my SPF) and doesn’t take up too much of your time in the morning. You are literally just washing your face with the cleanser, toning and applying the moisturizer. There is also a serum to incorporate for your nighttime routine.

I also love how you can a take a quiz on the site to see which type of product would work for your skin type. I have combination skin and love that the ingredients are not the same for those with oily, normal/dry skin. The ingredients cater to your skincare concerns or issues which I think is pretty amazing. I’ve been using these products for the past couple months and have noticed a difference in how my skin glows, how it looks and the overall health of it.

I couldn’t get over the first time I used the Recharge cleanser. You only need one pump to wash you face and it lathers very well. I think I used too much the first time lol but it is gentle on the skin and really gets down and cleanses your face. When I follow up with the Balance Toner, there are little to no traces of dirt left. Now I was a little skeptical of the Nourish Day Moisturizer because it is an oil. I normally don’t use oils in the daytime but this one really impressed me. The moisturizer really sank down into my skin and doesn’t sit on the skin or feel greasy. It keeps my skin moisturized all day and works so well with my Black Girl Sunscreen.
