A Little Reminder…

If you have kids, you would know it takes a lot of patience to deal with the falling out, not listening, talking back and so on. Sometimes it is so hard for me not to lose my cool with my son because we are in the the not listening phase. It gets frustrating sometimes but I know I need to be patient raising him (but I hope this phase is over like now lol).

Just like parenting, the same rules apply to the rest of your life. Life can get pretty frustrating at times but you have to be patient that things will work out. The other day I was a little frustrated with blogging and how I was progressing. I have been doing this for 5 years and feel like I should be further along than I am. I look at some of my fellow blogger friends being asked to speak on panels, getting PR packages, sponsored content and I’m thinking what have I been doing wrong all this time? Some of the goals I have are some of the things I listed and I feel like I’m nowhere close to it. I know I should not be looking at others but it is hard. I am happy for everyone that is achieving their goals and becoming successful but I wonder when I can be happy about those things.

I am thankful for those people in my corner and those I just met that gave me words of encouragement and reminders to be patient. I had to take a step back and remind myself that things will take time and I need to be patient. I’ll achieve my goals when it is time to. I just need to continue working hard and being consistent. I will get there.

If you are a blogger/influencers like myself, I just want to encourage you that you will reach those goals, you’ll get those sponsored posts and PR packages. You may get discouraged sometimes but just remember that the path may be different but they all lead to success. There is room for all of us to be successful and I hope everyone that reads this reaches their goals and dreams.

Have a great weekend, be safe if you are in the path of the hurricane and see you guys Tuesday!

  1. I feel the same way as you do. I have had some nice opportunities but they are few and far between. I am still blogging but I am done making it a priority and something I NEED to have done by xx date each week. I’m done stressing about posting on IG x times a week. I focusing on growing my Younique business because I have seen more success with that in 3 months than I have with blogging in 5 years. Free products are nice but they don’t pay the bills. I think take a little pressure off yourself with blogging and you may not feel as stressed.
