When I initially created the wellness goals for the 2nd quarter, I didn’t know the date of my recent surgery or if I wasting to actually go through with it. This quarter didn’t go as I planned and also didn’t know what the recovery process would look like for me but I didn’t do so bad either. Let’s get into this update.
Journal Almost Everyday – I thought I would be able to keep up with this but I didn’t. I took up junk journaling as a hobby to make journaling more fun and it has been fun. I think I only journaled about 3-4 times during this quarter and thought I would do so much more when I was off from work but again didn’t realize the recovery process and I was really tired most of the time. I do want to work on doing this more because it really does help with putting those thoughts that shouldn’t be online in a place.
Limit Meat Consumption – I really didn’t limit my meat consumption too much but didn’t execute the idea of doing this vegan/vegetarian/plant based type diet or eating habit during the quarter. I know for the next quarter I will be implementing new eating habits (that post will be up early next month).
Almost Daily Walking/Body Movement – I did complete this one successfully. I know I wasn’t in the gym a lot this quarter but I made sure to get my walks in weather permitting. Especially now after my surgery, daily movement is super important and part of my recovery. I do want to get a weighted vest at some point and when I am totally cleared, really get back into the gym.
This quarter wasn’t too bad and I am excited for the next quarter and goals I set for myself. I’m excited about this journey to be a better and healthier version of myself.
