Makeup Product Reviews

I recently picked up a few items that I didn’t need (who really says that lol) from Ultra and Target. I did a get ready with me video a week or two ago where I used some of the products and wanted to give me full review on them.

E.L.F. Cosmetics Power Grip Primer

Listen the girls were talking and raving about this primer so at some point I decided to pick it up. It is supposed to be the dupe for the Milk Makeup primer which I previously tried and thought it was okay. This is a gel based hydrating primer that helps smooth skin while gripping your makeup. When I did apply it, it did have a bit of a sticky feeling and my makeup did stay all day. I will say that I like this one way better than the Milk Makeup primer. I see why everyone was raving about it.

E.L.F. Cosmetics No Smudge Matte Shadow Stick in Cools Beans

Might as well stick with this brand for another product I tried out. This is a versatile cream shadow stick that delivers high pigment and long lasting color with a matte finish. I have to say this shadow did everything it claimed to do! I love how smooth and easy the application was and it was so easy blend out using your finger or a brush. I picked this dark brown shade for everyday wear and I love that you can wear this alone or use it as a base for another shadow. I saw that E.L.F. has metallic ones that I would love to try and I would love more of the matte shadow sticks.

Colourpop So Juicy Plumping Gloss in QT

I have not used Colourpop in a while. I fell in love with the brand after the super shock shadows dropped and not sure why I stopped using their products but this gloss right here, you just need to go out and get it. This is a hydrating plumping gloss that creates fuller looking lips with the ultimate glassy high shine finish. This gloss is not sticky or thick at all. I love the high shine it gives and and color is perfect if you don’t want to wear color, just a gloss. I didn’t realize that this gloss in QT is a soft opalescent pink and I see it now lol. I paired this with a brown lip liner and it was perfect. It does have a minty scent but I didn’t get much plumping from it. Overall, it is an amazing gloss and I want all of them lol!

Colourpop BFF Creme Gel Liner in Swerve

Yes I picked up multiple products from Colourpop and I didn’t use them all so I’ll have more reviews coming up lol. Did I need another black eyeliner pencil, no but I was curious about this one lol. This pencil has the same pigmentation and long lasting transfer proof wear of the creme gel liner in a pencil form. I don’t think I tried the creme gel liner before (adds to list) but I love this pencil. It applied so smooth without tugging or anything, very pigmented and stayed put until I washed my face.

L’oreal Infallible Bronzer in Dark

I randomly picked this up from Target after hearing the TikTok girlies raving about it. You know that I have been using my Fenty bronzer ever since I picked it up and I think this one is giving it a run for its money. It is a soft matte finish and waterproof bronzer. It was hard trying to decide on a shade because I couldn’t try it in the store but glad I picked up the right shade. I really love how this bronzer looks and may be using it more often lol.

NYX Matte Finish Makeup Setting Spray

Now I’m not sure if it was just this setting spray or the combination of the E.L.F. primer and spray but I didn’t not get oily at all when I wore my makeup that day. I went out to a vinery with some friends and when I came back home, I notice that I wasn’t oily, didn’t see any peep through and I was a bit shocked. Did I find my setting spray? I know I need to try it a few more times but I was impressed for the first time wearing it. This setting spray helps keep your makeup in place for up to 16 hours, doesn’t settle into fine lines and wrinkles and absorbs oils and reduces the appearance of shine.

I guess you can tell from the reviews that I loved everything I tried lol. Well these were my first impressions of everything but I see myself reaching for everything more often. Have you tried anything mentioned? Let’s chat.
