I really didn’t know that today was World Mental Health Day. I honestly started taking mental health seriously a few years ago and have been pretty vocal about it lately. I am the type of person who used to hold things in, let things happen without saying a word and just telling everyone I’m okay when deep down I really wasn’t okay. I had to learn about letting things out, admitting when I’m not okay and not letting things build up. I know I am working my way to therapy at some point and I’m not sure why I’m so hesitant or scared to even go. Probably I’m afraid of hearing the truth or things I don’t want to hear.

I just want to encourage you all to make your mental health a priority and it is okay to admit when things are not okay. If you can, have someone you can always talk to or therapy if you can find a therapist. Asking or seeking help is not a sign of weakness, it means you are putting yourself first and you want to be better.
