This thought keeps bouncing around in my head so it’s in a blog post now lol. Earlier this month when I was at the event, I was asked about my content and how it’s doing and that is a common question among creator events. Sometimes when I’m asked this, I don’t know what to say because I don’t want to come off negative at all. I mentioned that it is going okay and seeing how others are now doing a lot of food reviews and may want to dive into it because it seems like the trending thing and the other person asked “Is that what you want to do”? I thought about it for a second. I only wanted to because it was trending and gaining a lot of momentum online. Also seems like people were growing super fast and being invited out. I also stated that I feel like the natural hair content is slowing dying down because of people pivoting back to relaxers, locs, being strictly a straight natural and more. I often feel out of the loop at these events because I’m the only one that is usually the natural hair creator at events. I know I’ve expanded into beauty, makeup, fashion and lifestyle over the years and added my recaps of events as well.
It’s like do you keep up with your niche and stay in your lane or going with what’s trending?
