2nd Quarter Wellness Goals

Okay we got started with the 1st quarter goals and now time to move into the next quarter. I feel like I had a great start but it is time to really kick things in gear and do more. I am confident in myself that I can rise to the occasion and smash these goals. I don’t want to feel like I’m being too ambitious with these goals that I am setting but I want to change and want to start doing and stop just talking about it. It feels like I am sort of regaining my motivation again and hope to keep that momentum. So here are the wellness goals I have set for the 2nd quarter (April-June).

Daily/Weekly Reading – Listen I really fell off with reading books about everyday probably a year or two ago. I want to get more into reading and get through those books I had on my list last year. I already started reading one book and honestly can’t guarantee daily reading but if I can read a few times a week, I’ll be happy. My goal is to at least get through 2-3 books this quarter.

Daily Walks – The weather will hopefully start to get nicer and I can get back out for my daily walks. I normally take walks during my lunch or when I have a moment at work but want to also walk while I am home. My goal is to continue the daily walks I started last year and if I can’t walk at work, do so at home. I’ve been walking a little over a mile and want to start increasing that to at least 2 miles a day. My overall goal is start running but I’ll get into that in the next set of goals.

No Alcohol in April – I started last quarter with cutting out the alcohol, during the week and saving it for the weekend but would love to do a full month without it. I know it may be a little hard but I have faith in myself that I can get through 30 days without drinking. I have tea, sparkling cider/juice and other things I can substitute. I know it is going to be hard when I have one of those days at work and just want a glass…or two of wine. I can do this.

Start Working Out 1-3 times a Week – I know I need to do some more stretching but I need to start being more active and working out if I want to drop some of this weight. I want to start working out in the basement and work my way to going back to the gym. My goal is to be consistent with this so it will be easier moving forward.

  1. These are great goals Sis! I’m in a book club with my daughter so that is motivating me to read more as well. I’m on point about working out, I try to do 2 miles of walking on my treadmill before the calls star coming in from work (I work from home). I need make sure I’m drinking more water though.
