Top 5 Makeup Products Everyone Should Have

It is no secret that I love makeup as much as hair products. I can’t help myself sometimes when something new drops or I see one of my favorite bloggers/content creators raving about something. I wouldn’t call myself an expert at makeup but I know my way around lol. It can get overwhelming with the amounts of products that are available and watching people apply their makeup. I feel like there are 5 products that everyone should have in their collection…well this is my opinion of course but I feel like you can achieve a natural look and not use a lot of products. I will be sharing a mix of drugstore, in between and high end products.

Products Pictured: Fenty Beauty Ease Drop Skin Tint in 20, Pro Filtr Instant Retouch Concealer, Cream Gloss Bomb, NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, E.L.F. Cosmetics 16 Hour Camo Concealer, Maybelline Sky High Mascara, Super Stay Matte Ink in Fighter, The Lip Bar Liquid Lipstick in Hot Momma, Lip Gloss in One Love, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown, L’oreal Brow Stylist Definer, Sephora Eye Pencil in Tiramisu, Dousse Cosmetics Ultra Precision Eye Liner, Mented Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Send Nudes

Skin Tints: I know a lot of people that do not like foundation at all. It was a struggle for me at first to find my perfect shade but once I found it, I was in love. There are so many coverages, formulas and shade ranges out there but if you are not a huge foundation person, I highly recommend having a skin tint. It is like you skin but better and without the look of foundation. Skin Tints give your face a fresh, glowy look and I am becoming more of a fan of them. They are super lightweight and you could just get away with wear it with nothing else. It is no surprise that I am recommending the one by Fenty Beauty. You guys know I absolutely love this brands and everything they have come out with (like who needs an album Rihanna, you can keep coming for my pockets lol) . This skin tint became an instant favorite of mine and I haven’t stopped wearing it. I love the connivence of the packaging and the fact that you don’t need a brush or sponge to apply it. I haven’t found a drugstore one but will let you know once I find one I love.

Concealer: Concealer can be used for so many things, of course to conceal any dark spots or blemishes but can be used to brighten some areas of your face or help contour. I mainly use concealer to brighten and conceal those dark circles under my eyes lol. I have three that are in heavy rotation ranging from very affordable to high end. Yes Fenty Beauty is making another appearance but I just love this concealer. On the days that I am not wearing much makeup, I’ll reach for NARS because it is the closest to my complexion and makes my under eye area look refreshed and natural. I recently fell in love with the E.L.F. Cosmetics concealer which is as good as most hight end brands.

Brow Pencil: When I first started playing in makeup, I didn’t know that brows were so important until I had my makeup done one day and felt that any look is not complete without your brows. I keep it simple with a pencil for the most natural looking brows. I sometimes use pomades or brow gels but brows pencils are so simple, fast and easy to use. I used the Anastasia one so much until I discovered this one by L’oreal. I basically get the same results but the only difference is the price tag.

Mascara: If you are not someone who likes eye liner, I feel like you can get away with just mascara. It really helps define your lashes and just makes your eyes look so pretty lol. I have a different mascara every couple months lol but I have been loving this one by Maybelline so far. I’m not too picky when it comes to mascara, it just needs to make my natural lashes look longer and fuller.

Lip Product :Lastly, you always need a good lip product. I don’t wear too much of the traditional lipsticks anymore but love the matte liquid ones and gloss. You can wear a clear gloss just to make your lips look shiny or rock a variety of colors. I have to say The Lip Bar and Anastasia(forgot to picture it lol) make my favorite liquid lipsticks hands down. They feel super comfortable on the lip, they are not drying and stay put for the majority of the day. Maybelline is an amazing drugstore alternative if you are looking to save a few coins. The Lip Bar also makes some of my favorite lip glosses along with Fenty Beauty and Mented Cosmetics.

Bonus* Eye Pencils: I had to throw a bonus product in the mix. I honestly can’t rock any makeup look without eye liner. I feel like you should have a black and brown liner in your collection. I love the ones from Sephora and obsessed with this one from Dousse that I received in a subscription box.

Like I said earlier, if you have theses five or six makeup products, you can achieve a simple and natural look. I know makeup can get overwhelming but if you start with these products, I feel like you can build from there if you want or keep it simple. Did I miss any must have products? Have you tried anything mentioned? Let’s chat.
