Black Owned Business Feature: Moisture Love

Is it me or did February just fly by too fast? It was crazy how slow January goes by and February is just like a breeze. Well we are closer to Spring and I couldn’t be more excited because it is my favorite season! Anyway, let’s get into this month’s Black Owned Business Feature.

Moisture Love was created by Jeannell Darden who wanted to create products to help with the love/hate relationship of natural hair. I would know this all too well especially when I first started out. It honestly takes a lot of patience to deal with natural hair. I love that all the products are plant based, sulfate, paraben and gluten free.

Gentle Embrace Hydration Shampoo: I really loved this shampoo. It lathered on contact and a little bit goes a long way. It doesn’t leave your hair feeling too stripped and really cleanses the hair well.

Deep Indulgence Replenishing Conditioner: I really loved how lightweight this conditioner was and the silky, lotion like texture it had. It had amazing slip and made detangling my hair so easy. It left my hair feeling super soft and moisturized.

Now & Forever Leave In Conditioning Serum: I think I have a thing for lightweight products lol. I learned over the years that you don’t need a thick product to achieve hydrated and moisturized hair. This leave in was amazing and helped with setting up my hair for styling.

Kindred Spirits Moisture and Style Cream: I did a twist and curl with this styler and it really helped define my hair and keep my style looking good for the week. This styler had a smooth and cake batter like texture that paired really well with the leave in. I want to try other styles using this cream to see how my hair would hold up.

Seal It With A Kiss Finishing Oil: This oil has such a cute name and it really does seal in the moisture and hydration of your hair. This oil is very lightweight and doesn’t weigh your hair down at all. It is also perfect to use when taking out your twists or braids as well.

Overall everything from Moisture Love is amazing and I highly recommend trying everything. I hope that they come out with a deep conditioner soon to go with these amazing products.

  1. Being a newly “loose natural” (cut / combed out my locks), I’ve learned so much that I didn’t know about being a natural before I even had locks. This is my 2nd go round as being a “loose natural” my hair likes a combination of products from light weight to thick creams. I would like to try their products as well. I have become a product junkie for real for real. Thank you for sharing their products.
