Black Owned Business Feature: GLH Nail Lacquer

I didn’t forget about featuring a Black Owned Business this month, it just got pushed back but better late than never lol. Today’s feature is GLH Nail Lacquer. I am proud to say that all the nail polishes I own are by Black Owned companies.

GLH Nail Lacquer was started by Gina L Hicks (hence the name GLH) in 2015. She started off as a freelance nail technician who saw a gap in the nail polish market for natural polish. She previously did work for NYFW and for editorial shoots for companies such as Macy’s and Bloomingdales. GLH is a vegan 5 free polish which is something I look for in my polishes. I love how her goal when she was freelancing was the healthy and maintenance of the nail as well as the cuticle bed.

GLH Nail Lacquer has a variety of colors for those who love bold colors to those who prefer neutral colors. They also have a nail treatment system with a nail strengthener/base coat, top coat and cuticle oil.

I met the owned at an event last year and she was so sweet and helpful when I was trying to pick out polish colors. It can get overwhelming trying to find the right colors and I appreciated her help and patience.

I have to say that I really love this polish. The formula is very smooth and easy to apply. It is pretty opaque and has a pretty good wear time. You can honestly get away with one coat of polish if you wanted. I plan to get more colors than pictured to help grow my collection but I highly recommend these polishes. So that is it for this month’s Black Owned Business Feature. If you have any products from Black Owned Businesses I should try, leave them down below. Hope you guys are having a great week so far and see you Thursday!

~**Drea Notes**~

I wonder if we are really getting snow. They have predicting it and I haven’t seen too much of it. My son on the other hand is a bit disappointed, he is looking forward to playing in it lol.

The event I was supposed to go to previously has been pushed back to this weekend due to the “snow” that was supposed to come. Again I’ll be on my Instastories with some highlights.
