
Happy New Year!!! We made it to a new year and on chapter 1 of 12. I’m just thankful for seeing a new year and having the opportunity to improve my life and another shot at achieving some goals. Hopefully you saw my 2024 goal recap and now time for my 2025 goals. My goals for this year are mainly focused on my personal ones. I really want to improve and be better than I was last year. Do you have goals set up for this year? What is your main focus?
2025 Personal Goals
Be Financially Stable – Last year I struggled so much with trying to save and budget and living paycheck to paycheck…that all ends this year. I’m tired of the toxic cycle I am in with money, saving and budgeting and it is only going to continue if I don’t take action and change it. Good thing I started setting myself up last year so I can start off on a good note for 2025.
I started out by looking at how much I spend monthly on bills, expenses, coffee, lunch and so on and I spend way too much money getting breakfast, lunch and coffee during the week. I need to be eating breakfast at home, taking my lunch and making coffee or tea at home. I know this will save a lot of money. I did allot an amount monthly for myself in case we don’t have leftovers, low on coffee and so on. I did try this last year but I didn’t follow it so much so I want to make sure I stick to this budget. I also have to factor in that the cost of groceries may go up this year and have to adjust the amount I set for them. With needing to change my diet and my eating habits for my health, I really need to start making food at home.
I have been working on an amount that I would love to see in my savings account at the end of the year and what I need to contribute monthly for it. I won’t disclose the amount on here but I really want to accomplish this goal for myself so I can be in a better financial place. I also wanted to establish a secondary checking account so I have that cushion just in case. I have been doing my research on the banks in my area and think I have one to go with and allocate a certain amount each month to go into that account.
I also want to focus on being better with pay those bills early or on time. I was pretty good with it last year but there were a few that I would pay late and no longer want to do that. I already mapped out when everything is due during the month and will do a better job at looking at when I get paid each month and when to pay certain bills. I also want to focus on paying off this credit card debt I have. I almost have one card paid off and will focus on the other 2 this year. I really have a good feeling about being a in better financial place in 2025.
Take Better Care Of Myself – I feel like this is a continuation from last year but it is more important with my health now. I want to do a better job of eating better and healthier. I need to watch the salt and sugar intake and make sure I am monitoring my blood pressure daily. I will keep up with my doctor appointments like I did last year and just stay more on top of my health.
I don’t know why I struggled so much with working out and being active last year but that all changes this year. This extra weight is taking a toll and it also could be effecting my blood pressure as well. I know if I get myself back in the gym and paying a membership, I’ll be more inclined to go because trying to work out at home has not been working. It just seems more convenient but it was hard to motivate myself to be active and move. I know I did my daily walks when the weather was nice but I need to be doing more. I’m still trying to figure out how much weight I want to lose and just need to work on that and maintain keeping it off.
I also want to work on cutting out some bad habits that I have developed over the years like not drinking enough water(I’m now a Stanley cup girly and I had to get it in pink lol), drinking too much during the week, too much fast foods and unhealthy stuff. I want to change because I don’t want to have any serious health issues.
Also with taking better care of myself is continuing therapy and making time for self care. Even if it something really small that I do for myself weekly, just as long as I am doing something for myself every week. Of course I have my core, go to self care acts of listening to music and silent car rides but want to establish more of them.
Read More/Daily Reading – I still some books that I purchased 2 years ago that I need to read, they are just sitting there collecting dust. I really want to get back into reading everyday, even if it is a few pages or a chapter, I need to be reading everyday besides emails at work lol. I was just compiling a list of books that I currently have and ones that I want to read and there are 7 books on the list. I feel like I can get through 7 books this year. Also I stated that I can’t buy the other books until I am down to reading the last book I have currently.
Find A Hobby For Myself – I think this will be part of my self care and I’m excited to find a hobby. I don’t think I’ve had a hobby in so long and just excited to get back into something. I started making my list of possible hobbies I want to try and just can’t wait. I will be sharing them soon.
2025 Creator Goals
Stay A Consistent That Fits My Schedule – I’m not focusing too much on the creator goals this year. As I stated in previous blog posts, I am letting go of trying to do this fun time and want to put the fun back into it. I want enjoy creating content and not have that stress of having to post so much and so on. I am just going to post the content and not worry about the numbers, followers and views anymore. I don’t want that stress anymore. I do want to continue growing and building my community. I want to be way more engaging with others and just enjoy being in the creator space.
I also want to work towards getting a new camera to take pictures and film with. I know I need to see how much it is and set a savings goal for it.
I am really excited about the goals for this year. As you read, a lot is focused on myself and just doing better overall. I know last year I had quarterly wellness goals and not sure if I’m going to keep up with doing them this year, we’ll see. I hope you all have an amazing start to 2025 and here is to accomplishing our goals!!
