It doesn’t matter if the win is big or small…they all should be celebrated. I just finished 32 days of no drinking alcohol and I am super proud of myself and that is something to really celebrate. I honestly thought I would crack or break it whenever I had a bad day at work or just needed a drink to cope with something but I found alternatives with tea, dealcohlized and alcohol removed wines. I really enjoyed trying different ones and found some favorites I wouldn’t mind incorporating more. There were days I was missing having a glass or two of wine but I feel really great about accomplishing this goal.

Now I’m not totally giving up alcohol because as I joke wine is my BFF but I do want to cut way back on it and save it for a day or two during the weekend and cut it out for the most part during the week. I wouldn’t say I had a real problem but it got really heavy and a lot during the pandemic. We were all in the house and this was something new so we were mixing up drinks during the week and kinda going hard and it contributed to some of this extra weight I put on. Also it just wasn’t healthy to be drinking like that anyway.

Doing this detox really gave me some motivation because I can put my mind to it and do something. I can have that drive to keep going and not give up on something. I do have the discipline to focus on something and achieve it. Like I’m really feeling good about it and still haven’t thought of a reward for myself. I did go out and treat myself to a pedicure but I really want to treat myself to something because I deserve it.

I am excited to put this motivation and focus I have now into other aspects and smash more goals and keep this amazing feeling I’m having. This just feels good and I love this feeling now.
