I’m not sure but to me the Christmas spirit felt off and sort of non existent in a way. I saw a lot of posts online about people not feeling it this year, their Christmas spirit wasn’t spiriting and all. I totally understand why it could be. I even felt it a little bit because I’m usually in full Christmas mode right after Thanksgiving and it took a couple weeks for me to start listening to Christmas music and decorate.

This year felt really heavy and way too much was going on. It seemed like every month something was happening and just kept going as the year progressed and it was really a lot. Many of us are concerned and worried about the direction this country is going in and a lot of us are fearful of what is going to happen including myself. Christmas to me is the most magical time of the year. With the music, seeing the Christmas lights and displays, the joy of watching your loved ones open presents and also the true meaning of Christmas….it’s supposed to be a magical time but it didn’t feel that way. A lot of people have been suffering due to the government shut down and trying to get back on their feet, the way things are so expensive especially grocery prices and just everything else…its been way too much.

Hopefully we can capture the Christmas spirit next year and it was totally okay to not be feeling it at all.
