Book Review: A Love Song For Ricki Wilde

I am currently on my 4th book of 2025 and so proud of the rate I am going. I feel like I will surpass my goal of reading 4-6 books this year! This book was sitting around since sometime last year and I am glad I finally got the chance to read it! I honestly couldn’t put the book down at some point because it was getting so good

.

This book follows Ricki Wilde on her journey to finding herself and branching out on her own with not wanting to be part of the family business. She is labeled the “Black Sheep” to her older sisters and just wanted to live life on her own without the judgment from her family. Ricki makes the trek from Atlanta to Harlem to just be herself and pursue her dreams and aspirations. I love her character the most because she took the risk of pursuing her dreams and lived unapologetically. She encounters something pretty interesting and somewhat magical during her time on her time in New York. I don’t want to give too much away because I recommend that you pick this book up for yourself.

I love how the story unfolded as you read each chapter and it didn’t drag at all. It took twists and turns that I was not expecting at all which made me not want to put the book down! It was just an interesting read and absolutely loved how it ended. I want to check out more of Tia Williams’ book because this one was really good.

What book are you currently reading? Let’s chat!
