Blogtober Day 3 : 4th Quarter Wellness Goals

Can you believe we are in the last quarter of 2024? It is crazy that the new year will be here soon. I had these 4th quarter goals mapped out ahead of time and recently changed them. I was just thinking about them one day and wanted to make a change to how I wanted to close the year out. I will be continuing this series into the new year and making quarterly goals. Let’s get into these goals!

Read 2-3 Books – I want to continue this from the last quarter and get through the books that are waiting for me to read them lol. I want to get back into daily reading or if I have to start out reading every other day, just want to get back into it.

Cut Back On Drinking and 60 Day Detox – I did the 30 day detox from alcohol back in April and want to close out the year with no drinking November and December. I also want to cut back on the drinking in October and just enjoy something over the weekend and not during the week. If I could get through the 30 days, I can get through 2 months.

Working Out – Okay, I know this has been a struggle for me since I only worked out once last quarter which is really bad. This weight is not going to drop unless I start moving as well. So I made a plan to start out in October working out 2-3days a week and have the set days then increasing to 3-4 times a week the next 2 month also having set days to work out. This has to work this time around.

Better Eating Habits – Now I did pretty well last quarter but want to do better closing out 2024. I want to limit the pasta, rice and bread and also cut out beef. I know that is going to be hard because I love a good burger but there are alternatives and also better choices for the breads, pastas and rice. I need to increase my intake of fruits and veggies. I fell off from juicing and just eating more of them. I also want to limit the daily coffee intake and have that over the weekends and drink more tea during the week.

I know I have the focus and discipline to do this especially with the working out piece. I know this may seem like a lot but I need to challenge myself a little bit. I will definitely check back in at the end of year on how I made out with everything.
