So, I’ve been seeing a lot of videos floating around on mainly TikTok basically bashing “influencers” and so on. A lot of them were just super hateful in my opinion and they were talking just to be talking. Most of the videos were basically saying why don’t they get real jobs, I’m sick of seeing them, they get paid to open boxes and so on. Listen, I’ve always wanted to be an “influencer” and I actually consider myself a blogger/content creator. Yes I may influence you in a way to try something but I wouldn’t fully call myself that. I see how much of bad rap they get and honestly, it is not all influencers and people need to just stop saying they hate them all.

Listen, I know some of them have lied, rubbed you the wrong way and so on but that is not all of them. I just can’t stand seeing the think pieces when you really don’t know what goes on behind the scenes. No they just don’t open packages all day and stuff. There are emails, meetings, filming, editing, having moments of technically difficulties, dealing with constant criticism and so much more. I feel like the people saying they hate influencers don’t understand what goes on or had a failed attempt at being one. It is like if you don’t like seeing them, you can block and actually curate your feed to not see them at all.

It just blows my mind the amount of videos I see daily and it’s like do you not have anything better to do? There are certain creators/influencers I’m not fond of and I just stopped following and blocked them. It is that simple. I love the videos I do see of influencers letting people know just to say you hate influencers and to basically just scroll past the video and not make think pieces. It is annoying how some people can be on social media. At the end of the day, we all hopefully have jobs, we have bills to pay and lives to maintain, we are all just trying to survive and fulfill that success that we are striving for. Why hate someone who actually has a job and is loving what they actually do? Some people are just miserable and hate their situation and just need to attempt to make others miserable. It’s sad but it is life I guess.
