I’ve been trying to find the balance in my self care journey and to stop putting it on the back burner but that is a post for another day. I wanted to share some Fall Self Care acts that you can do just for the season. You can do these at any time of year obviously but it makes it more fun when it specific for the season.
Take A Nice Hike or Stroll – I love when the leaves start turning all the colors of yellow, red, orange and brown and just makes the scenery look so beautiful. Weather permitting, it would be a great time to take a hike or stroll through the park where there are a lot of trees. It is perfect to get some fresh air, get some steps in and also enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Journal In The Park – Now hopefully you have a park that is safe and maybe you should do this with a group but it would be so reflexing to journal in the park while the leaves are falling and feeing the crisp Fall air. You can sit and just write what is on your mind or brain dump.
Make Your Favorite Comfort Food – Fall is the time for warm and hearty foods that are so comforting such as soups, pies, pastas and so on. I love a good soup on a cool Fall day or some hearty lasagna. There are so many recipes out there you can try out and may find a new favorite. You can have your favorite comfort food while watching your favorite movie or tv show.
Create Your Own Fall Self Care Routine – This can range from how you show your skin a little extra TLC, have a special journal just for Fall, junk journaling, coloring, knitting and so on. There are so many things you can do for self care but make it just for the Fall. Maybe it’s taking a cozy bubble bath every week or making a new cider recipe or walking a new trail in your area. The possibilities are so endless and you can tailor your Fall Self Care to you and your needs for self care.
