Blogging Journey Reflection…Coming Up on Year 12

Just realized that I never celebrated my blog anniversary last year. I think I was in a funk about things or just totally forgot but my blog turns 12 this week, on the 27th to be exact and I’m happy about it and proud of myself. I keep the promise to myself when I hit publish on that first blog post to never give up and I haven’t (even though I wanted to so many times lol). This is something that I built for myself and proud of it event though I had no clue what I was doing and kinda still don’t lol but we learn along the way.

I have to say year 11 was a pretty challenging one with of course being frustrated, wanting to throw in the towel so many times and the usually woes of being a blogger. It come with the territory of doing this but I love sitting in front of this MacBook or phone and blogging. Sometimes I just feel like I’m alone in this journey of mine because I had to learn everything myself. It was hard to find people to ask questions to and get advice from and just felt like at time blogging was on the decline, like no one really read them anymore and I feel like people do, you just have to find your audience and people who love reading about what you publish.

Can you tell I like using funny GIFs lol? It just makes things more fun but I am super grateful for this journey and wouldn’t change anything about it. I’ve been trying to push myself more and learn more about blogging that I don’t currently know. I wish I had classes or something in my area for bloggers to work their writing, learn how to monetize, get advice from other bloggers and so on. A lot of 4th event I’ve attended are geared towards creating content/influencers but not so much about blogging. It would be really nice, hopefully someday I can find it.

I’m not sure where this next year will take me but I hope I still love doing this and only go up from here. I’ll have more in the next post but let me know how long you’ve been blogging and what you love most about it.
