Listen, this book review is super overdue lol but we are doing so now. I finished this book last year or early this year and I just love a good thriller. So let’s get into this review.

I actually know the author of this book, met online and in real life and I saw maybe 2 years ago that she was an author and picked up Red Echo and loved it. I don’t remember if I reviewed that book on here but I highly recommend reading that one first before picking up this one because it is an extension of some of the characters from that novel. Listen, you will not be able to put down both books when you start reading them.

What’s Done In The Shadows is an extension of the character Stormy (from the book Red Echo) and it goes into her life, her up bringing and kinda of how she got started with escorting in a way. I loved getting to know about her life and how it tied in with her sister, Tempest. Now Tempest was a trip to me lol but this story was so intriguing and kept your attention. It was hard not to read the book all in one sitting because I just had to know what happened next.

Monique does an amazing job at storytelling and keeping things really interesting. You think one thing is going to happen and it gives you a twist you didn’t not expect. This was such a book and highly recommend you pick up and read. She also has other books that I need to pick up and read as well and recommend that you do so also lol.
