I finished this book before the start of 2025 and have already read 2 books this year. This is a goal that I set for myself to read everyday and just read more often. I loved You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero that I read a few years ago and knew I would love this book. Crazy thing is I didn’t know how much I needed this book.

This was five chapters of helping you establish healthy habits and I felt like the first three chapters could have been broken up a bit. Some of them were a little too long for me but I guess the author intended them to be. The first three chapters set up the meaning of a habit, examples of good and bad ones and shifting into having those healthy habits. I loved the real life examples that were throughout the book and just how things were broken down.
In chapter 4 is where you would read for 21 days to making your habit stick. I loved that you created a mantra to recite everyday during the 21 days and helped for the habit to stick. My goal was to wake up early during the week and not hit the snooze button so much and my mantra was “An alarm should not stop the blessing of waking up early everyday”. The mantra starts to stick in your mind as you recite it for 21 days and it really does help.
You also can go back to chapter 4 if you are trying to create and establish new habits. My favorite quote or saying from this book comes from chapter 4, day 13 “You can literally accomplish anything you set your mind to. It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve messed up, because your failures and face-plants are all a part of your journey”.
Overall I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it if you are trying to have better habits. It really does help so much if you struggle with sticking to your habits or keeping up with them.
