
I have been really heavy on the silent car rides to work or sometimes headed out to a store. As much as I love listening to music and that is my go to self care, I’ve been craving a lot of silence lately. It really helps with calming my thousands of thoughts and constant running tabs I have open. It has been a lot lately with trying to stay organized and on a schedule and having to deal with the unscheduled and unexpected things in life. It bothers me when I don’t get through my to do list for the day or the week.
I know I shouldn’t drive myself crazy with that but the silent car rides have been helping a lot. Also since I started therapy, I’ve been feeling better as well and know I have a source when I’m feeling overwhelmed and all.
I have been staying on top of my doctor appointments for the year and really proud of myself. I feel like that is self care because you are making the effort to stay on top of your health. I head someone on IG say “I am the CEO of my health” and you should be both physically and mentally.
I think I’ll have another update for Blogtober, not sure but just want to encourage you to take care of yourself and make yourself a priority.
