I just can’t get over it being August already and it is about to be back to school time soon and I’m about to have a whole teenager this week. I’m already emotional thinking about it. It is just crazy how fast the Summer seems to fly by each year, I don’t like it lol.

I’ve been thinking about a lot of Black Owned Businesses lately. I’m noticing that a lot of them are shutting down or stopping posting on social media. I’ve discovered so many Black Owned Businesses and have never had a bad experience with any of them. Fallen in love with a lot of the products I’ve tried and used but one day I saw that the website was gone or announced they were going out of business or just stopped promoting themselves on social media. It seems like social media runs everything now and the way to get the word out about your business is to post it there. When I didn’t see some of my favorites posting on social media anymore, I had to go check to see if they were still in business and it was just them no longer using social media to promote their business.

I mean if you have a strong email subscription, your customers already know that you are still around but some people don’t subscribe to emails/newsletters…how would they know. It is just alarming to me the number of black owned businesses have shut down and closed since I started really supporting them and it is just crazy to me. It seemed like a lot of people were supporting them and they were really busy but it could have been unforeseen things that were behind the scenes. I try to do my part by letting you guys know about these businesses I come across and to go support them. I just hope that Black Owned businesses continue to thrive and stay in business for a while.
