Geez.. I realized I haven’t posted in this series since July.

Wow…so yea…I’ve been practicing self care and hopefully I can remember everything I’ve done in August and so far in September lol. Over the weekend, I started listening to music as I am taking a shower and getting ready in the morning. I want to do this more during the week but don’t want to wake anyone up lol. I do have a small Bluetooth speaker but it is pretty loud, I’ll figure it out.

I was working out of a different location and was hungry for lunch. For some reason I was in the mood for tacos and Googled a taco place that was not too far from me. They were so good. A normal order comes with 3 but I got an extra one which I was super happy about lol!

I love when people manifest and follow their dreams. Someone I follow on online, met in real life and interact with online created this female only space for parties called Jefatona. I missed the first couple ones but when I saw she was throwing a pool party, I had to be in the building. I haven’t been in a bathing suit in years and was a little self conscious but this was a judgment free zone so I felt super comfortable. It was such a good time and yes I did go by myself. I danced, enjoyed the 2 hours they had free mimosas, got in the pool and just vibed out. I’m thankful for this space and the time I had. It was really needed as I let all my stress go, got lost in the music and enjoyed myself.

I also tried a new drink at Starbucks, Blonde Vanilla Cold Brew which was really good. I tend to stick to my usual drink but branched out and tried something new. I got it one day, sat in the parking lot, enjoyed the stillness and enjoyed the iced coffee.

Recently I was back in New York for the first time since 2019. I had such an amazing time. While I was walking to the event, I saw a place that had $5 margaritas, tacos and empanadas all day and food is basically my love language lol. I made it point to stop back at that place on the way home and there was a reason. I sat at the bar and this woman was already there and she paid my bill because someone paid it forward for her. It was such an amazing gesture and something much needed. We talked and I enjoyed the food and drinks. I also tried octopus for the first time and it was really good!

I also enjoyed a lot of time outside which I need to soak up before it starts to get colder out. I love my time outside, it is just something about listening to nature, the weather and the occasional breeze that comes by that is calming.

I won’t go this long again with updating on my weekly self care lol but it has been amazing for the past 2 months lol. What have you done for yourself lately? What is your favorite self care act? Let’s chat!
